i was manipulative and unnecessarily mean to my partner for the entire relationship. its hard for me to believe my feelings when ive done such terrible things to her. ive manipulated my way out of solving problems and further delayed them. ive lost her trust and its to the point where talking to me hurts her. i dont know what i can do to genuinely gain that trust back because i really dont want to lie anymore. im in a position where no one trusts me and ive lost all of my supports and i feel incredibly alone.

Hello! I want to commend you on doing the first step of admitting you made a mistake. That's an important step towards making a big change. Change is something that has to be consistent and don't beat yourself up so much if you make mistakes. Remember that it's up to your loved ones if they can trust you again. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you have a wonderful day :)

@russellciv

OH, I'm so sorry

Do you think you need more time to yourself? To maybe know yourself a bit more?

You must be sure if you are 100% committed to change your behavior. You need to seek deeply inside of you and see what cause that and if you are wanting to change. When you reach that point then do your first move to resolve things with her. Then she will see you changed for good and maybe she will take you back. But only then. If not sure don't risk getting things worse.

Let time heal you. But try in the meantime to do good things to other people so you can start gaining trust back again. It's important for your confidence and self love as well. Love yourself enough to be kind to others.

Best luck
