intrusive thoughts

so i’m in my first ever relationship right now and i’m having some anxiety about it. i love my boyfriend so much and i feel like myself around him, but there’s this part of my brain that just won’t let me be happy. like, i’ll think about how i miss him (he’s currently on vacation) and then a part of my brain will say “no you don’t”. or i’ll look at a picture of us together and i’ll be super happy for a moment and then this horrible feeling will just come over me, almost like something bad is going to happen or that i’m wrong about something. again, i love my boyfriend no doubt about it. which is why i’m confused as to why i’m having these feelings. and i’m starting to be afraid of them because it’s getting hard to distinguish between my thoughts and this evil part of my brain. how can i get rid of these thoughts and just enjoy my relationship with my loving boyfriend?

@bandannathebanana
I experience the same thing. Something that helped me was researching and I came across something called "relationship anxiety". I suggest looking into it, it may help you to know there is a term for what you may be experiencing.
Personally, I write down those thoughts in a journal, this will help you see the thoughts and realize that they are bogus. I hope your relationship prospers!
