my best friend

my best friend recently got back from a trip, and she’s basically been no contact. i assumed that she was just busy unpacking or maybe just tired from traveling, but she turned her location off on social media and hasn’t been texting anyone. she just sent her streaks but said someone else was doing them, so i snapped back saying hi to the “person” doing her streaks and we struck up a short conversation. after prolonging the conversation it’s clear it’s just her pretending to be someone else. she’s asking all of these questions about what i think of her and her lies arent adding up. me and my other best friend (we’re a group of 3) talked earlier about how she gets really upset/jealous/uncommunicative when we hang out, but if my friend and her hangout or if me and her hangout it’s not an issue. the jealousy hasnt been bad but when summer began it got really bad. we’d hang out and she’d stop talking altogether or just be really dry and just bring the whole mood down, and it would only happen if me and my other friend would talk for too long without her in the conversation. it’s really frustrating and i don’t want to lose her as a friend, but i don’t know what i can do. advice??

Have you any reason to suspect you may have upset her to give her a reason to catfish you like that? If she’s asking these types of questions anonymously to you there’s either a reason for it, or she’s just insanely unsure of what others think of her. Id maybe go and see her with your other friend , and mediate with her to try and get to the bottom of it. You sound like you want to keep the friendship, but you need to know where the line should be drawn on enough being enough and letting her go if she’s not bringing anything positive to your life

@gingergermaine

Sometimes the best way to fix any relationship is to take the first step to open a channel for communication, reach out. If she's still a very important person for you, perhaps you could try that. In worst case scenario if she doesn't get back to you, at least you would tried your best to gain her back and even though painful you'll have no regrets for not having tried anything to make things better.
