Money issues
My mom and grandparents struggle with money, I live with them on the week. Today a man came to our house to turn off our electricity, my grandma was able to pay for it but I’m afraid they either sent them into debt or made them completely broke. This might sound like bragging but my mom and grandparents like to buy me and my 4 siblings lots of gifts. I’m thankful for them but I also hate them. They spend more money on things we want then things we need. So when they get us gifts it means we’re going to struggle with the things we need. I don’t even know when I went to the dentist last. I wish they would stop buying us things and spend their money more wisely. Dose this make any sense?

I really hope you can talk to your adult about what you shared here. If you don't want to say it out loud you could make a note with the words you put here and give them. What a wonderful young person you are.

sometimes adults think items are more appreciated by their kids but in reality kids who understand that providing the basic needs and dr or dentist visit etc is a huge undertaking and that CARE stays in their mind much longer then some trinket or gift.
maybe you can share with mom or grandma you appreciate that and they will see the gifts are not what is needed
