How do indela with religion uncertainty
Hi everyone, I'm new here.
Lately I have been having deep thoughts about what happens after we die.
I am not sucidal, but I get overwhelmed and scared when I think of the fact that one day I'll indeed die.
I'll like to let go of this thought and just do us on loving God.
Please how do I handle this . Thank you
@tidyFan1575 Hello, I understand at a point I used to also think of what happens after death, or what next, but in my religion,it reaches us that death is just a bridge to the next life, without it you can't get to Heaven, you can't get to meet God,I think maybe if you shift your perspective to that, you will feel a little better, hope it is helpful in a way😊
If you are willing we could have a conversation regarding this my dear fan. Hope you will find a rest in the name of Jesus Christ. With Love.
@tidyFan1575 I'm so sorry. There is no solution unfortunately. I go through the same thing everyday. I think the best way is to just ignore it.
@tidyFan1575 hi sweetie ❤ being scared of what happens when we die, is kinda like people being scared of the future. The uncertainty of this can really play heavily on our minds. But remember our future/death is not ours to see. So instead of questioning what we don't know, I say live for now instead. It could be hours, weeks or years before we draw our last breath. We cannot change that fact, what we can change is our perspective/way of thinking. There is beauty and magic all around us, don't let a single second moment of this life slip by you. And when our time comes, then we won't be afraid for we will know ❤❤ gives you a giant tiny hug ❤❤squeezes you tightly ❤
@Tinywhisper11 great attitude!

@tidyFan1575 you have received many answers that have a kernel of truth.
Another idea is see that life is always changing. Once I was a little baby in my mother's belly. Later I was a toddler curious about this world. Now I am in an older body.
I realize that the body dies but I am not the body. It is hard to define what I am but I will use the analogy of going to sleep. When I go to sleep I am not aware of the body but I wake up and I am in the body again.
Every person defines it differently but a common thread with all people is there is a part of us that is not made of atoms and molecules. There is part of us that is aware. It is hard to see that, but that part of me I believe continues on. Where it goes next is a mystery.
My challenge is to live ethically, care for others, and gain an understanding and acceptance of myself as much as I am able. I can only do the best I can. That good effort I believe will create the causes for a good future, even if I do not see it clearly now.
If I live like there is an afterlife and there is not then I have lived the best I can and nothing is lost.
If there is an afterlife and I prepare myself by ethical living and caring for others, then I will be prepared for it. Either way I do not lose.
I am making the future right now. Try to find a calm place inside. Follow the breath. Read spiritual texts that inspire you.
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil..."
Living with that conviction, death will be like walking from one room into another.
