Am I being punished?

Hi. I have been going through very though time for the last five months or so, never faced such difficulty in my life. My family and I have been praying all the time, but seems like none of our prayers are getting answered. We are all in misery, still trying to keep patience. But five months is a really long time and I am starting to question if I am being punished. I have tried doing everything in my power and capacity to handle the situation, but all in vain. Everyday is a struggle for me now and I am losing patience day by day. Nothing's left for me to do except praying more, but at this point, I feel like my prayers are not enough. I'm completely lost and would really appreciate any suggestions or insights anybody wanna share.

Hi.

Here are 2 fine verses from the Bible - our saviour Jesus Christ speaking.

John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give
to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do
not be afraid."

Thanks for the reassuring words and the beautiful verses. I am really grateful for the support.

I'm going numb day by day, can't feel anything even when I am praying...hope God guides me through this tough time.

Friend. Your time is taught now. In the name of Jesus Christ I lift you

 (and your whole family if you want to) up in our Father in heavens

knee and leave you there for as long as you need to stay there.

Isaiah 43:2 «When you pass through the waters

I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.»

lol. Also today I give you 2 Bibleverses - good for me and good for you I hope:
Jeremiah 50.34: "Yet their Redeemer is strong; the LORD Almighty is his name."
Deuteronomy 31:8 "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Came across this post from last year. I wanted to post an update and thank everyone who sent me reassuring words. The problem I was facing got solved within 5 days after this post!
At that time, my family and I had been going through a very tough 5 months. It worsened around the time I posted this. Since then, my life has gotten so much better, and my family has seen better times as well! All we had to do was to have faith on God and stay put until the storm passed by. We all learnt patience. I started to work on myself, my anxiety, and deep-seated fears. It helped me a lot and now I feel like I have grown a lot since last year. Not only that, I have started to enjoy life now more than ever.
I am really grateful for this platform and for anyone who helped me survive during that time. Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Dear @courageousSquare1219

Have you read the story of Job or Ayyub before?
