I don’t even know anymore

Hopefully this won’t get too long and I apologize if it does. Long story short I grew up being a Christian, was a summer missionary and did all the things. Grew up married a non believer. I tried to change him (hahahahaha), but of course I was the one who changed. Fast forward we are now divorced and “share” 2 beautiful girls. I’m trying to get back into church and I just can’t find that spark. I don’t feel him and it’s like I’m drowning. It’s one thing after another I’m praying to God to give me a break, but that does not happen. I don’t feel anything for him and it’s scary. Maybe some prayers or something? Thank you for reading!

“Lord, God, I seek Your strength daily as I face the trials and tasks before me. Grant me the fortitude to overcome adversity, the courage to walk fearlessly, and the faith to embrace Your plans. Let Your love be my foundation and Your wisdom my guide as I navigate each moment”

Come back to yourself…one step at a time, believe

@Thistooshallpass2014 I was a very devout Christian growing up. In my teen years I started asking questions that people could not answer to satisfy my reason. They said I had to accept it on faith. So I have been looking for that spark in many places.

I accept that all religions that have an ehtical foundation are beneficial. If you want  to have a conversation about this and are open to discussing options that you might want to explore, feel free to send me a message www.7cups.com/@soulsings

Hi Christian friend.

Thank you so much for writing. You're telling that you "can't find that spark". In the Bible it's written: Job.35.14 "How much less when you say you don't see him. The cause is before him, and you wait for him!" In our Christian life we don't always "feel" that God is near - for example we can be depressed.

Dostoevsky said "Beauty will save the world"

Find that beautiful church. One that is beautiful inside. Go there quietly. Light your candles. Pray. Go home. Repeat.

The beauty will be your healing.
