@soulsings This song takes my back, to my Jr high days. I was in the choir at my Jr high school, and we did a different version of this song. This was back in the late 1980's/early 90's.

@soulsings At my Jr high, I was the only male in the choir, it was all females. I had private voice lessons from the choir director/music teacher.

@soulsings It is nice that music mean so much to you, as well. I took piano lessons. I learned how to read music but not so much, but I gave it a try. I was also in a hand bell choir, for a bit. Now the hand bells I could play and ring, but as for the piano, the chords are what got me in. I had a key board, at one time, did ok. I had a small organ, and I could play some on it. I no longer have them, plus with me helping and supporting others, I do not have the time anymore. I am retired. Helping others gives me more joy then playing music. Now, I listen to music and sometimes, I watch choirs perform, online. I have a greater understanding for those who who sing and make music. All the practices and extra time out side of school. My high school choir, that I was in went to a choir meet and we came in second. It was the first time, the high school went to it and I believe the first time they had it for choirs. We got a bronze metal for it. The other choirs need more time and needed better directors and teachers, in my mind. Flat as flat as can be. Some had soloist, and they eat the mic and the feed back, was horrible. My music teacher at the high school told us, the mic is powerful, and you need not stand to close to it. One of the other High schools had a soloist, I could not understand, yes the spoke English, but the were to close to the mic. As the were walking down the hall, I told them, they were too close to the mic, and I was just trying to help them get better, and they got in my face, so my teacher intervened and had a long talk with the choir director from the other high schools. You see I love music. I love good music quality. Sorry, for being picky, but when your in high school music it is a wee bit different then lets say elem. school music programming and singing.

@soulsings My High School Choir, was chosen to sing the National Anthem, at an NBA game. Our high school boys and girls basketball games were to be played at the Old home for the Detroit Pistons, (The Palace). They also sang the National Anthem for the NBA game as well. I did not get to go. I had the tickets to go, and they were cheap because we were rep. the school district and our high school. So, we got them at a lower rate, then normal. But we had a bug going around, and I got sick. I went back to school, and I almost passed out, I had the flu. I went back to soon. But I really wanted to sing, with my class mates. It was my senior year. But, my teacher/choir director said to rest more. So I did. He gave me an extra grade. That is how dedicated, I am towards things, I love to do.
