Learning to Trust the Process: What Does Surrender Mean to You? 🙏
One of the most powerful shifts in my personal spiritual journey has been learning to let go of needing to control every outcome and trusting that there is a bigger process at work. It isn't always easy to surrender our fears or timelines, but leaning into faith often brings a quiet kind of peace 🕊️
What helps you step back and trust when you start feeling anxious about the future?

I think surrender begins when we recognize the limits of our control.
The Qur’an says:
“And whoever relies upon God, then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, God will accomplish His purpose. God has already set for everything a measure.”
(Qur’an 65:3)
Perhaps one reason the future makes us anxious is that we quietly take responsibility for things that were never completely within our control. We want to know how everything will turn out, when it will happen, and whether our plans will work.
But perhaps our responsibility is simpler: to make the right choices, do what we can, and keep moving forward. The outcome belongs to a reality greater than our own limited perspective.
There is something deeply comforting in prayer because it reminds us that we are not alone.
As Said Nursi beautifully puts it:
“His power reaches everything. In this great guest-house of the world, he is not alone; there is a Generous One who looks after him and gives him companionship.”
Maybe this is what surrender really means: not giving up, but doing our part wholeheartedly and entrusting what lies beyond our control to God.
“I will do what I can, and leave what I cannot to God.”
Sometimes peace does not come from knowing how the story will end. Perhaps it comes from knowing that we are not walking through it alone.

I trust in God's plan for me.
In my own abilities and instincts .
And I surrender to simply trying to be a kind person 🩷
