In some of the old cultures (like native Americans) seeing the future was treated as a gift, given by High Spirit to people who lead the nations. In some other, "more civilised" beliefs it was labelled as "devil's work" and banned.

But let's look at it without prejudice, from the practical point of view: Imagine the entire story of our lives from birth to death can be hidden somewhere (like the depth of your physical brain or some kind of spiritual "google cloud"). Your mind normally has no access to that, because that could be confusing and overwhelming, to the point of danger for your sanity.

But some sensitive people experience some "circuits shortcuts" sometimes. And it's a responsibility, too, because a gift can easily turn into a burden or a curse, if mismanaged.

Yes, I've had some such experiences or dreams myself. Some similarity is in deja vu or intuition. And I think this is nothing wrong, as long as it makes us wondering about our double (spiritual vs. physical) human nature...
