Why do we pray? (Let me know of your opinions)
God is not physical or material which makes him on a different plane of existence than ours. The bible mentions this spirit nature of God. Jesus also mentions he and God are one, which must evoke curiosity in your minds. You see religion is the acme of philosophy, and the more questions you ask, the more clear your perception becomes. We pray because we submit to him who is superior to us. Yet when you are enlightened the separation between us and him dissolves and we become one. Visualizing it is futile, I mind you.
@BlatantHonesty we pray for gratitude for peace and hope. Whatever religion you have, I think it's crucial to always have faith and hope in your beliefs

We pray to heighten and exalt our spirit.
To connect and to share time with God who is only one, found in the Trinity.
We pray to solve our issues and to find inspiration for living a holy life.
We pray for the loved ones, our neighbour, to make their lives better.
Even when we are lost, we must pray to find our way, back to God.
Thats the essential and we can understand everything we need to pray for, if we let Jesus be our teacher.
I pray for everyone to find the way, the truth and life.
