How To Load An Animated Gif As Your Profile Picture!

User Profile: BadIdeaFairy

When you go to save your GIF from the internet, change the ending to .JPG instead of .GIF

Then load your newly created .JPG into your profile settings.

Then refresh your browser to see the new picture. Ask your friends if they can see it moving if yours seems not to be moving.

That's it!

Thanks for the post!

It doesnt work for me though.. Im on windows 7 and it only saves as .gif or "all files". :( I did a file conversion once and changed the .gif file to .jpeg and it showed up only as a still photo.

@Figgy50

Hey. :) you have to save it in the name not the format. so you will call it "Photo.jpeg"

The still photo is what we need! (Idk why hahaha) If you upload the still photo as 7 Cups profile picture, you'll get it moving!

Sure haha! And uhmm, the required name is picture.jpg and not picture.gif.jpg
-GIF and JPG are extensions of images which are used to change the picture format. JPG is a simple image extension whereas a GIF is an animated picture's extension!

Hey! You can change the picture's extension on a Windows PC by right clicking on the picture and going to properties. Once you're there, under "General" you can find the present name of the picture at the top. You can change the extension of the GIF by changing the last three letters from GIF to JPG. Once you've done that, you can then upload the image as your 7 Cups profile picture! Do let me know if that works! laugh
@Figgy50 heart

P.S. - Sorry for the extremely late reply!

@Finnamon looks like you figured it out! Your icon looks like it was designed by one of my favorite GIF artists FLRN!
