So, I am awaiting some feedback regarding the next set of posts prior to posting them.

For the time being, we will skip forward and move on to the next set of posts.

These posts will help us to take a look at different ways to notice that something doesn't look right.

Knowing how to RRR as I like to abbreviate it - Recognise, Reflect, Respond is crucial to remaining safe if you are put into a difficult position whether on Cups, or online.

Different countries follow different policies and rules so in this case, we will be looking at how to RRR in terms of 7 Cups and what you can do to keep yourself safe online.

This is inclusive of many situations you could find yourself in whether it is a chat that just makes you feel uncomfortable, maybe the chat isn't helping you and you feel you need more support than a Listener can offer to you, or you are facing issues in the chat rooms or forums.

Trigger Warning!

Examples will be used on this post which some people may find triggering, therefore, only proceed if you feel okay to do so.

All posts in this topic will be contained within this thread.

**Please do not post in this thread**

What is "RRR" and what does it mean?

Meaning
You will notice in many posts, I may refer to RRR and although I will briefly explain what this means in the posts, I may link back to this post as a full explanation.

What is "RRR"?
RRR is a term in Safeguarding that I use to analyse a situation which can be useful for people in tough situations, it can be used by anyone from individuals to Safeguarding leaders.
Recognise
Reflect
Respond

Recognise
Regardless of the situation, it is important to recognise it, the situation could be many across many different scales, it can sometimes be tougher to recognise if a type of chat has been happening over a long period of time but sometimes, it can be quick.
Recognising means that you have noticed that something isn't quite right.

Reflect
Reflection is so important, it can make the difference between realising that something has been misunderstood or making a report and is a crucial stage in the process of reacting to a situation. It may be necessary to read message(s) or post(s) numerous times to try and understand, or simply asking someone what they mean by the message, though this can sometimes be seen as a negative, it will place a barrier in the way and ask for an explanation, and depending on the response, should help you to react but only do this if you are unsure of the intentions of the communication.

Respond
Responding is the final part of the process, responding could be an apology on both sides for misunderstandings or by taking action.

Action Plan
This action plan is in the event that a misunderstanding has not taken place, if there has been a misunderstanding to a situation, apologies can work very well.
