I think guys have it really hard sometimes, what do you think?
Guys are taught from a young age 'men dont cry', and to cry and show emotions is wrong and unmanly. Theres so much focus to activities to be a 'man', and i think failing to meet these demands makes a lot of people miserable.
It still counts as failure when men cannot earn enough to be the breadwinner and support the family, men get insulted for penis size, hair growth, graying, empasis on muscle. If men shows emotions, they seem more feminine, amd get called gay, making them feel worse and even less masculine. Guys have it tough, and i think theres a lot we don't think about.
How often are we girls told we're beautiful, or that we look nice, compared to how much we compliment them? Thinking back, i say girls dont really say much in that regard. My bf mentioned this, that small compliments to them mean so much because of how rare it is, and how they arent noticed. People judge guys easily on their height and size, whereas people are generally kinder to females outright.
Im not saying guys or girls have it any better than each other, i just felt like mentioning some things i thought, and was wondering if any of you guys felt the same, or have any opinions. Im a girl, so i see things differently, but i would be glad to hear anything from your side :D

You're right, Lucy!! Women are written off as delicate flowers that can do no wrong, but it's far from the truth. I've personally seen more women yelling at men in public than men yelling at women, but no one does anything and it absolutely breaks my heart because they're just as human as we are, no matter how "masculine" and "tough" people think they are, and they're probably as hurt as a woman would be in that situation.
Lucy- I think their is alot of truth in what you said. It EVEN applies to Parking. If a female can't parallel park... ppl just give a quick giggle, and roll it off. If a guy can't parallel park- he's an idiot. LoL
I think it depends on the individual and their situation.
No one's better off than anyone as a general rule.
Both relate to forms of gender bias and are equally damaging. I am really not certain how productive it is to compare men/women. It may create a lively debate if that is the purpose of the post.
Otherwise, a conversation concerning the very real issues faced by a male need not to fall into a discussion that is in many ways disrespectful and women or vice versa.
There are countless studies in peer reviewed journals that relate to men's issues as well as women's issues.
It is an interesting area to research if you are truly seeking answers.
