Preventing sending more than 5 messages

I have a question. How come when i login here on a different day and try and to leave a message for a listener and theres a screen that pops up that says "cant send message because you already sent 5 messages today?" Im like i just logged on though. Does the site keep track of how many you send even though it is a totally different day that you logged back on. Doesnt seem to make alot of sense?

I am surprised by this. Members often send me more than 5 messages in a day.
On one occasion a member sent me more than 40 messages, which was unfortunate because 7 Cups only stores the last 40 messages and deletes the rest.
Yes, the site does keep track of how many messages you send in total, no matter what day you send the messages.
Perhaps that pop-up is a new thing? Perhaps it only applies to a listener you have never chatted to? Perhaps @7CupsCommunity knows more?

Last I had checked this limit is for initiating conversations with more than 5 listeners (listeners you have already chatted to should not count). I will ask the team

A sort of inbox spam protection implemented maybe? So that a listener does not have so many offline messages? I can only presume...
