Users advertising diet products

@admaiorasemper My understanding is that this is intentional, 7 Cups counts these members as "people helped", and these ads improve 7 Cups' activity ratings in comparison to other websites.
Almost all of these ads are removed from the forums after a short time. I'm not sure whether the removal is still a manual process carried out by volunteer listeners, or whether it has been automated by now.
Some of these ads are posted in replies to old threads, and I think they are somewhat less likely to be removed. A few threads are fake questions like "Can anybody recommend a good diet product?" which are posted in order to allow the advertiser to reply a day or two later, from a different account, with helpful advice and a link to the diet product.

Oh. This is weird. Especially given the fact that there are people struggling with eating disorders on the website.
