Body image
Anyone struggling with body image?
For me I have days when I feel I'm very pretty and I feel good and sing and dance in joy...
And then there are days when I look at my face and I feel like I'm ugly and it makes me sad and then I don't feel like meeting others :(

I do sometimes <3

I ty też.
Same here!!
So depressing sometimes.

Hey 😊
I struggle with it too😪
The mirror part is so relatable
There were times I couldn't even look at the mirror and what's more puzzling is when you get you are beautiful from some people and you try to look at the mirror and see what they re talking about but you can't see anything
Hi everyone, I’ve struggled with body image for a long time, especially with comparing myself to others. Lately, I’ve been trying to unlearn negative self-talk and focus on health and self-acceptance instead of appearance. It’s not easy, but I’m learning. I’d love to hear how others are navigating this journey.
I feel its the social messages that confuse us.
A couple of years back i had some acne:
I was feeling normal about my acne till every single day people around me commented on it, exaggerating it as some life threatening ailment I had acquired. I recieved hate from some - no kidding. And that reaction really confused me - because I too began to think this was something permanent. However my patience paid off and with some treatment the acne is gone. People now are still not satisfied asking how I could possibly be cured from the hideous thing I had.... I think its their trauma not mine. But sometimes it transfers to me too in confusion.
We may be kind to ourselves but we have to take the unkindness of others along in our battles.
Also I feel the talk on body has to go down. We need to see people for their personalities and values instead of their looks... that would really be spiritual enlightenment for each of us who does it

I came across a book "Body Brilliant" by Nicola Morgan. She explains body image in it. I liked her gentle way of speaking. Still have to read the full thing.
Thought ill share with you. You can check her page nicolamorgan.com
She has blogs that you can check out and see if there is anything you like there.
Hope it helps someone in need. So I decided to update this thread
