I think i know whats holding me back

I hope I can explain this correctly.

I feel like people are wrong about me. Like I know things about myself. This is going to sound egotistical for a second but I have a point in the end. like okay I know I’m hardworking, I know I’m successful, and I know I know what I am doing. That last one is a big one because everyone thinks they know what’s best for me and then they give me advice and it’s nothing related to what I want. Point is, I am the only one who knows what’s best for me.

The point I’m getting to is that I know I know these things but I have a hard time feeling like I am these things because the people who have put me down don’t know it. Like I just had a few people call me immature. I know im not immature. However, what they said is still getting to me because THEY don’t know that I know I’m not immature. Like I feel like I have to tell them I’M not so they know I don’t think of myself that way. But I haven’t and I can’t and it’s been like that for a variety of things and different people/situations.

I think like in summary, I don’t believe I can be fully confident in myself unless everyone whi had put me down KNOWS I’m feel confident. I feel like Id be happier if I was just okay with not caring what those specific people think and just being good with what I believe about myself. But like how do I do that?

@drzombienoodles

It's really hard, to be honest. Hundreds of people will give you advice because they don't understand that it's stupid. Everyone sees the situation from their own perspective and they think that's enough. Ignore them. They can't be right if you're confident in yourself. They're trying to hide their shortcomings by criticizing others. They depend on others and their opinions. Not you. You don't need that. You're strong without it. Just do this every day and it will become a habit. Keep at it!

@drzombienoodlesFocus on trusting your own view of yourself. Their opinions don’t define you. Practice reminding yourself of your strengths quietly and let their judgment slide. Confidence grows when you live your truth, not when you convince others.
