Learning to Love Myself
Hi everyone,
I’m on a journey of practicing more self-love and being kinder to myself.Sometimes I struggle with self-doubt and overthinking, but I’m trying to remind myself that I deserve care, respect, and happiness too.
I’d love to hear from you — what little things do you do daily to show love to yourself? Maybe I can learn and try them as well....
@Tanwiiii
One of my favourite ways of showing my love to myself is buying myself some ice cream or a piece of some delicious creamy cake 😊
I do it as a kind of reward after I did something memorable. But also for comfort, when I have a bad day (thankfully, I have bad days very rarely 😉). Or I reward myself with that before I have to do something difficult (like an interview for a job)—and it also works that way.

I like to treat myself to something delicious or a pair of shoes 🥰
I like to remind myself daily, I deserve love, to be happy and I have value 💜💕
I love practicing yoga to help clear my mind and give my brain a little break from all my thoughts… kind of like a meditation for my brain.

Hey Tanwiiii !
First of all, I LOVE your Shin-chan avatar! Soooo cute!
🌸 I can totally relate to struggling with self-doubt. It’s something we all face sometimes. It’s such a beautiful journey you’re on. One thing I do daily to show myself love is stargazing or watching the clouds and moon drift by while listening to music on my Bluetooth speaker. It helps me feel peaceful and connected to nature, like I’m giving myself a moment to just be. Maybe you could try something similar. Just a few minutes to pause and breathe, letting yourself feel calm and cared for.
Hi Tanwiii...
I'm also learning to love myself better. I learned that the better we are taking care of ourselves, the better our self-esteem.
So little things I do daily to show love to myself is make sure I'm not only clean but also smells good. Even when I'm alone, I spray my fave parfume. Not for anyone, but for myself.
I learn to say "no" more often now. I was a people pleaser, and it's not helping.
Practice self-compassion when I don't meet my own expectations.
Little steps to prioritise myself, without being anti social or egotistical
We can do this! 😊
I started to say ‘no’ to things that made me feel stress, both big and small. Even going out with a friend…if it was later than I liked, or would mean having to rearrange my schedule, I’d just say that it wasn’t possible.
It was so difficult for me, after a time it’s become easier. And my self-imposed ‘victimhood’ feeling has gone away by default.
This sounds not much like self-care but it turned out to be!!
