Perspective
A parent’s eyes are a child’s image of themselves and their emotions. Because babies do not have self-awareness in the way adults do, they reflect emotions and self-image through the expressions of their parents, and especially their mother. If the mother is anxious, sad, depressed, or angry, this can be passed on to the child. Of course, this is not an unforgivable mistake or solely the mother’s fault; however, it is very important at an early age to distinguish between personal emotions that may be conveyed to the child and how those emotions are managed. Otherwise, a child may grow up absorbing emotions and expressions like a sponge, developing intense empathy, becoming highly observant of others, and depending on the emotional patterns built so far, absorbing similar feelings.
It is like a tower built from small pieces of paper—at the first gust of wind, it will collapse.
That is why it is very important for parents to build a child’s confidence from an early age, sometimes allowing them to make mistakes always within safe and appropriate limits, but with a degree of freedom so that independence can develop, which is one of the most fundamental elements of self-confidence.
Hello @EllieGeorg.
Thank you for sharing this.
I loved this! I wish I knew your mother 👩 she must have inspired you alot.
My mother was so amazing 25 years ago before she became mentally ill. However I still remember who she was and I force myself to remember how caring and loving she was.
Your delightful and helpful Thank you for this🌟
