The gentle giant
I suffer from low self-esteem. Being 6'-8", I intimidate some people and frighten a few. I can see fear in their eyes. This doesn't happen all of the time. I laughed to myself the first couple of times. I guess it's taken its toll after years of it happening. I'm the nicest guy a person could meet. It's a shame that even in 2025, we still judge a book by its cover.
@courageouspanda2006 Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so sorry that you had to go through this. People can be really judgmental and rude sometimes, and it's completely normal to have low self esteem. Just like you see the good in people you talk to, I'm sure your friends or people you talk to see how special and unique you are. Could you share some qualities that your friends have told you in the past that they like about you? Or any other qualities about yourself that you think are special to you?
I don't have many friends so nothing has ever been said to me.
I always put others before myself.
I'm always willing to help those in need.
I'm always kind and considerate to others.
I treat everyone the way I wish to be treated.
Really stinks when you're putting out so much positivity to barely/never receive a break
Unfortunately my mind only sees the negative parts.

Im sorry that's happening to you. I'm sure someone will come and see you as who you are. It is a shame that we are still judged by our cover to this day. I wish you the best.
I have a friend like you and I treat him just as well as everyone else try and smile at people more and act more positive I’m not saying change your personality I’m just saying it might just not be your height that scares people
Height is just part of life I’m pretty short myself but I understand how it can effect your everyday life with people starring and whispering
Just try to focus on people in your life who deserve your respect
