how can one learn to love themselves when they aren't loved by others?
this may seem a little bit stupid, but it feels as though im in a loop of worsening confidence
I have nearly no friends anymore, and the people I consider my closest friends are basically just a duo that I happen to sit with, ive never gotten to do anything outside of school with them and whenever I try to connect with them I get awkward and hesitant
now they say nobody can love you if you dont love yourself, and yet how can I love myself if nobody loves me?
I hope this makes sense, I rewrote it like 5 times but I still think it sounds wrong
@solaceofthestars
It is not as weird as it sounds. loving yourself is accepting you flaws and all.
It is being truthful with yourself and seeing your strengths and working on what you want to change. Not change for anyone else but for yourself. Never compare yourself or focus on things you cannot change. look around at other ever see a person who has tons of confidence and does not worry what others think? They found a way to love themselves and it shows to everyone.
@solaceofthestars I feel you. I have the same problem - no friends at school, but I choose to value my own company and disregard others' opinions.
