everyday I look at myself I tell myself I hate myself, I constantly am thinking about how much of a burden I am, clarifying, I do not feel suicidal, I feel more like, hyperaware of my existence and I hate me. I also hate how I look physically.

If anyone has tips of ways to start to think more positively, or maybe things that worked for them. I would really appreciate it

For me it has been more a matter of faith than of any "psychological tricks". Realising that you were born somewhere, to some parents, with some body, some mind and some face might be for a reason.

Some people even tend to believe that you can choose your life before you are born, like choosing a difficulty level in a video game.

That's a matter of if you believe in everything happening for a reason, or just coincidences.

The fact that we were born didn't not depend on us. The decision was made much higher. So we can either lose our lives constantly questioning, or accept it. And IF our birth was somehow depended on us, shouldn't we accept it even more?

@peachTurtle8179 I'm not sure how helpful this would be, but I remember seeing a post once. i think it was a Japanese belief that you re-incarnate with the face of the person you fell in love with your previous lifetime. although I don't really believe in re-incarnation, it makes me feel loved. to know that there is someone out there who would've loved and cherished my mere presence.
