self-hatred every day

its so easy for me to hate myself. my day can start out fine, making friends, doing well, and finally feel like maybe im okay, that i belong. but then something happens, even small, even no one else would even notice. and just like that, everything collapses. my chest tightens, stomach sinks, ang suddenly, all i can think about is how embarrassing i am or stupid i sounded. self-hatred comes fast and it drowns out every good thing that happened that day. i tell myself im dumb, that im too much, and im not worth the effort

Hello @andeevy07

That is so awful... regularly shifting emotions like that is probably traumatic.

i would let your psychiatrist know about this and they might adjust your medication.

Thanks for reaching out here.

Sending you rays of hope✨🌟💫

Hey you are not alone, it happens. What works for me is when those thoughts start consuming you turn it around. Think of something that you could do, or put on that makes you feel good. Just a little push of confidence, then run with it, keep telling yourself how good you are. If i have to play dress up everyday just to give me that little push forward I will. Reverse psychology!

Thank you for sharing this. What you’re describing sounds really heavy , how one small moment can suddenly make everything collapse and turn into harsh self-criticism. That kind of spiral can feel overwhelming and exhausting. You’re not alone in experiencing this, and many people here can relate to those feelings. I’m really glad you put this into words.
