1) How are you feeling?
I'm pretty okay! Lately, I've been thinking maybe I need some time off of PMs because it's becoming a little draining, but who knows!
2) How is the week going for you so far?
This week has had a little more anxiety than normal because I'm planning ahead for a trip to see family.
3) Let
@24Help1
Hey there !
Its good to hear youre feeling pretty okay! PMs can definitely get draining, dont forget that its very okay to take a break or to take things slower than usual to avoid a potential burnout! I like to see it kinda like sports: better take it slow and not push when a soreness is appearing, so as to avoid a real injury and be forced to wait longer than if we had just taken it slowly.
Planning can definitely bring some anxiety, I hope the trip itself can bring you more peace than normal in compensation!
These are amazing things to be grateful for! Were also grateful for all the hard work youre doing within 7cups!
Its pretty powerful indeed, and something that still has too much stigma around it unfortunately, I wish this quote was known and understood by so many more persons… Thanks for sharing it and for checking in, take care!
@LinearWaves Hey how are you?
It's been a weird week tbh. Today - is kind of an emotional day. I allmost harmed last night but I didn't. It's been a few months since I have. I'm trying to get better at self compassion and to stop thinking of myself as weak and damaged. Little steps - I guess
I'm thankful for my dogs - of course. They sort of help keep me going at times. I'm thankful for the peacefulness that's here on the mountain - away from the troubles of the cities and all the people. I'm most thankful for the friends I've made here - the friends that check in - that sit with me and offer support on the days when I need it most. I'm thankful for their kindness and compassion
I allways liked the Thomas Edison quote - I haven't failed - I've just found ten thousand ways that haven't worked
It's nice to see you - thank you for the checkin. Take care
@mytwistedsoul
Hey ! Its good to see you !
Im sorry to hear today is an emotional day, and that the week has been weird. The extra positive thing I see though is how youre trying to get better at self-compassion and thinking more positively about yourself, which is such a hard thing to do. It might be little steps but these are so important and heavy steps, Im proud of you for taking them! (plus if you ask me, theres no step that is small enough, its a step no matter what so its always big)
These are so important things to be grateful for, Im glad to hear you have all that to keep you going, especially the peacefulness in this weird time, thanks for sharing this really positive gratefulness list!
This is a really interesting quote, I always like how things can look so different from another perspective! Thanks for sharing it and for checking in!
1) How are you feeling?
Disappointed down defeated
2) How is the week going for you so far? Normal. Not much works out everything is braking down
3) Lets practice gratitude! What are 3 things youre grateful for today/lately and why?
Gratitude? This hasn't made much sense to me. It kind like being surprised that you did the thing you were trying to do. I guess y'all on here. It is more than I expected or deserve. Thank you. I won't live forever. That would be torture. People will forget me. Because all I have done or didn't do but should have will be forgotten.
4) Do you have a favourite quote or a quote that empowers/inspires you that youd like to share with us?
See to live is to suffer but to survive,
Well that's to find meaning in the suffering. Earl Simmons From his song Slippn https://youtu.be/gt4D6RIKbMM I just can't find meaning.
@Flornhope
Hey there ! Im sorry to hear youre feeling this way. May I ask if its somehow related with the fact you were looking for a job and everything is kinda stuck due to the situation?
I get you for gratitude, it can be hard and sure what we do will be forgotten. Although gratitude can just be being grateful coffee exists, or being grateful to have eaten something, it can be small. And it may look like it doesnt change much to be grateful or not about these small things, but they say that being grateful and positive brings more positivity, like smiling even for nothing releases some stuff in your brain that actually makes you feel lighter even if you smiled for nothing. So Im just trying that out, who knows if that can help!
Thats a pretty deep quote, kinda makes you think on it! Thanks for sharing it and for checking in today, take care!
@LinearWaves No job is one of a bunch of things that aren't right. They all stack up and make it worse. Like the rest of the world systems working on other systems. If one gos out it isn't that big of a deal but if you have 3 or 4 it can be difficult to correct.
Feeling low again.
Hey everyone!
1) How are you feeling?
I'm feeling ok right now, lol.
2) How is the week going for you so far?
Ok, I've been a little bit more depressed than usual, but I think I'll be ok.
3) Lets practice gratitude! What are 3 things youre grateful for today/lately and why?
I'm grateful for all of the listeners out there, my friends, and this whole 7cups community
4) Do you have a favorite quote or a quote that empowers/inspires you that youd like to share with us?
I know its kind of basic but... Be the change you'd like to see in the world. :)
I hope everyone has a good rest of the week!
@goldenPlum865
Hey there !
Its good to hear youre feeling ok right now! And also good to hear that despite having been a little bit more depressed that usual, youre still staying positive! Do you think something specific has caused you to feel more depressed this week though?
Great things to be grateful for, Im definitely grateful to see that it looks like you have a nice support system, between your friends and 7cups!
It may be a basic quote, but its still pretty deep as it can mean different things for everyone!
Thanks for checking in, have a good rest of the week as well, take care!
@LinearWaves
1) How are you feeling?
I'm feeling really exhausted right now and drained overall. I have a lot of family things going on and it's really taking a toll on me. I feel really conflicted about who I want to be in this situation I'm in. I don't know if I want to be the me that is here on 7 Cups that everyone in my life looks up to or just allow myself to crash. I think I'll figure it out though and I've gotten better at this over time so I'll be okay.
2) How is the week going for you so far?
It hasn't been the best, not going to lie :(

This quote is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
@TheAtticusFinch
Hey there Atticus !
Im sorry to hear youre feeling so exhausted and drained. I can understand though how family things and these questions weight on you. I dont know if this can help you feel less conflicted, but I like to try and see things from a different point of view, and what youre saying about not knowing who you want to be in this situation, it kinda makes me think of this: its like who you are here on 7cups is you wearing pink sunglasses, and allowing yourself to crash is you wearing blue sunglasses. Where Im getting at with this (not-so-great lol) metaphor is that at the end of the day its still you behind the sunglasses, plus you wear the pair you feel like wearing, nothing is set in stone and if you feel that you need to allow yourself to crash then you should listen to yourself. Anyway! Its good to see that youre keeping a positive and fierce mindset about this though, Im also confident that no matter what you chose, youll figure it out!
These are lovely things to be grateful for and to keep in mind!
Thanks for sharing this quote, I had never heard it before and its really deep. And thanks for checking in today, take care!
@LinearWaves
1) How are you feeling?
I'm ok. I had a heated discussion with someone about them believing themselves to be "real witches", so that's shit. I have just been angry ever since, and had a hard time letting go of that anger. But I had a good walk and a good talk with one of my contactpeople today, so I have done what I can to work out today. Imma maybe do yoga later. I hope I can get my bike back on saturday, maybe. I really do miss it, and I can feel all my pend-up anger turn into anger and wanting to argue with everyone, which I don't normally wanna do.
2) How is the week going for you so far?
This week has been good. I have talked to my mentor about my ED, and she seems to be the only person in my life who gets me, and doesn't critizies me. It's not like she says it's a good idea or anything, but she gets it's hard for me, and tries to solve it with me. Actually she is researching on EDs in her sparetime, trying to get me better and maybe even help me with getting better. After all I'm not eating as I should, and it's only getting worse. I'm only eating less and less.
I also had a talk with my new therapist, arranging a face-to-face meeting next wednesday, which will be the first time we see each other. I find it all but too easy to lie to her on the phone, as I don't know much else than her firstname and her voice. But I hope I can talk about my feelings a lot better, when I am face-to-face with her. Or at least she can maybe see if I am lying or something on my face. I do hope so.
3) Lets practice gratitude! What are 3 things youre grateful for today/lately and why?
Uhm... I'm greatful to my feet for carrying me all day, even on a pretty long walk today. I'm greatful that I was able to not overeat, even if I had food all around me almost. I was very good and restrictive yesterday, which I know is not good with the recovery glasses on, but I either eat nothing or everything. I can't seem to balance it :/
And I'm greatful that my grandparents' are healthy and hasn't gotten corona.
4) Do you have a favourite quote or a quote that empowers/inspires you that youd like to share with us?
Uhm, hard one. There is so many good and funny quotes hmm... "This creature feels so deep, loves with all its heart and don't forgive nor trust easily..." maybe? Not really empowering or anything, but it describes me pretty well?
@EvilRegalsReadToo
Hey there !
Im glad to hear youre ok, despite that anger. I can understand how sometimes when we cant do the things we normally do, pent-up anger just seems to stay longer than usual. It also often feels like a vicious circle, as you kinda get angry that the anger is still there… I hope you can get your bike back soon!
Its really good to hear that you have your mentor with whom you can talk about your ED, its so important to be able to talk and be just listened to, understood, not criticized and just supported. I really hope her support and help can have a positive impact on your recovery! As for your therapist, its good that you were able to met face-to-face, it sure can be easy to lie on the phone so I hope seeing her in person will be helpful to talk about your feelings and hopefully also to open up more.
These are lovely things to be grateful for! Although I get you for the balance part, being restrictive is not optimal yet overeating ends up being counterproductive as it can lead to being even more restrictive the next days… Balance definitely is a hard thing.
I actually couldnt stop myself at one quote haha! Its nice when there are quote with which we can relate like that, thanks for sharing it, and for checking in, take care!

1) How are you feeling?
I'm feeling alright! I'm doing something a little bit stressful later so I'm a bit stressed, but aside from that I'm alright.
2) How is the week going for you so far?
It's going okay. My parents have been overly abusive lately which sucks of course, but I'm 3 weeks self-harm clean today so I'm proud of myself for that.
3) Lets practice gratitude! What are 3 things youre grateful for today/lately and why?
1. I'm 3 weeks self harm clean! I'm glad I was able to get through this for this long, and next week will mark a whole month self harm clean! I'm super proud.
2. It's a quite little thing to be grateful for, but my dog slept with me through my nap this morning and I'm glad she kept me company.
3. I'm glad that I've been able to help people through this tough time by being a listener!
4) Do you have a favourite quote or a quote that empowers/inspires you that youd like to share with us?
Other times, I look at my scars and see something else: a girl who was trying to cope with something horrible that she should never have had to live through at all. My scars show pain and suffering, but they also show my will to survive. Theyre part of my history thatll always be there.

Hey there !
Its good to hear youre feeling alright, although feeling a bit more stressful.
Im really proud of you as well, thats amazing and so strong from you! Im sorry though to hear that your parents have been overly abusive lately, I hope that you can somehow get a break from them and relax, so it doesnt bring more stress.
These are amazing things to be grateful for, its also good to remember that sometimes simple things like napping with your dog bring a lot to our mood! Also I want to say Im grateful as well for all the help youve been able to provide to others by listening to them!
I really love this quote, thanks a lot for sharing it, its really powerful! Thanks for checking in, take care!
