I caught myself
Ive bene clean from hurting myslef for about 3 years now i just hit three eyars not too long ago fastforward ive had a really bad strain of anxiety and insecurity I didnt know how I was spiraling out until I caught myslef almost breaking my streak
One thing that stopped me was the promise I made to myslef and eveyone around me, I still replay the look on my friends face when she saw my scars she was so worried and we cried for hours we talked about everything we could do and be doing whenever it gets scary
We did a thing were we gave each other our perfumes and when we got anxious we could spray them around the room it helped me relax and think of the people I care about
One things that also helped me was coloring we did really pretty flower designs on my hand and arms and leg we did little flowers or turtles or really beautiful little sketches
Another thing I did was a Playlist of music that always kept me clam and easy to distract myself
Alot of the methods I tired within this moment didnt work for me and it was scary so I reached for my journal it kept me busy and it scared me in a odd sense because I didnt think I could do it
It took me awhile to overcome ttgat It was scary not kno9wmg if I could do it

Dear Beloved,
I am proud of you for remaining free from self-harm for about three years.
What has been causing your stress, anxiety, and insecurity? What thoughts were disturbing you and making you feel like hurting yourself?
I am proud of you again for stopping yourself from hurting yourself. You were successful in keeping the promise you made to yourself and to everyone around you. It is good to know that you have beloved friends who want you to be safe, and that you also care about their feelings.
You are lucky to have beloved friends who make efforts to help you manage your anxiety by sharing coping techniques.
What are the reasons behind your anxiety? What disturbs you?
It is good to hear that colouring flowers and beautiful designs helps you ease your emotional pain. It is often helpful to do more of what brings peace to your mind.
You also know how to distract your mind from triggers by playing music. It is a wise step to distract your mind from painful thoughts. All this reflects that you are taking proper care of yourself for your own well-being and for your loved ones.
It is sad to know that these methods did not help you this time.
What were your thoughts? What was causing your emotional pain?
I am proud of you for not giving up. Though you were scared, you reached for your journal to help distract your mind.
We are all proud of you for doing everything you could to help yourself.
Analyze your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Make an effort to understand what is causing your emotional pain. What do you think is missing? What do you want? Why do you feel the way you feel? Why do you feel like hurting yourself? What thoughts trigger such feelings? What can you do to ease your emotional pain? Answer all these questions for yourself. It will help lead you towards self-realization, where you can understand the "whys" behind your feelings. When your mind has answers to all its "whys," your emotional pain may begin to ease.
I'm so lucky to say journaling has kept me clam and in place with my emotions *** has helped me really dive into my mind ahd understand myself better when I first started I was orginally logging h my mood through the day my feelings kh thoughts and small goals for the day bug then it became mh reflection journal for those hardrr to see points
