Starting over again

(TW) I feel so dumb. I was clean for 7 years and I threw it away about 2 weeks ago. Now I'm having trouble stopping again. It's like I let the flood gate open and I'm addicted again. Every day I feel myself beg for it even though it only brings temporary release. I keep telling myself i deserve the pain, but i know its not really true... I conquered it once tho. I can do it again. I just hope it doesn't take me as long as last time to do it.

@CloudCola Hey! I'm so sorry to hear about this and am so proud of you for coming this far. 7 years! That's a long time... However, I really hope you get back on track to being sober and get rid of whatever caused you to relapse. There are always people out there who are willing to help you on your journey. And you're right! You've done it before so you can do it again, and this time for longer! I believe in you :)

@CloudCola

I hear you, and I want to acknowledge the strength it took for you to reach out and share what you're going through. It's understandable that you're feeling frustrated and disappointed after being clean for 7 years and then experiencing a setback. It's important to recognise that recovery is not always a straight path, and setbacks can happen. It sounds like you're struggling with feelings of guilt and self-blame, but it's important to remind yourself that you deserve compassion and support, not pain. You've shown resilience in overcoming this challenge before, and that's a testament to your strength and determination.

Reaching out for help and support is a positive step, and it's okay to ask for assistance when you need it. You've overcome this challenge once, and you have the ability to do it again. Remember to be patient and kind to yourself during this process.

You're not alone in this journey, and there are people who care about you and want to help. Take care, and know that you have the strength to overcome this challenge again.

Take care ❤️
