A Helpful App- Virtual Hope Box
A great app for coping with urges is Virtual Hope Box.
It was suggested to me by my social worker, and this app is great for coping strategies, personalised to you! So you can input images and videos of friends/family/people/places/things that calm you etc., you can distract yourself with puzzles they give you, you can read inspirational quotes and write yourself some coping cards- write down your problem area, your physical and emotional symptoms and how you can help yourself.
It's really simple to use (except when inputting pictures and videos, you should do them in the order you want to see them, otherwise there's going to be heaps of scrolling around to do! Also, videos and pictures aren't separated into categories, so again, put them in the order you'd like to first view them. And maybe do it when you're as relaxed and calm as possible- I had to do it a few times to get it right because the app doesn't tell you!!)
Overall, I really like it :) I know that you can definitely download it on an Android phone, but I'm not too sure about iPhones... if anyone knows, please comment below! Otherwise I'll do it myself when/if I get an iPhone soon aha I hope this app helps!
@rebecca947 Thanks, I'm going to give this app a try.
