Is this an okay way to take care of my self harm? Tw: self harm mentions

After I self harm, I typically put a gauze pad on it (no cleaning up) and just sorta duct tape it down.

currently i have no gauze, so I’ve been using like wet wipes/baby wipes to cover up the cuts. Than I put on compression/tight shorts to keep the wipes in place. Is this okay? I’ve heard that toilet paper can get tint pieces stuck in the cuts, is it the same for baby wipes/wet wiped?
