Recovery Tips?
I’ve been struggling with self harm for about 5 years now, and it began when I was in middle school. I’m looking to recover, and have been in therapy for a year after being hospitalized for it. I’m having a hard time finding the motivations/ reasons for recovering. I know it’s wrong, and I understand that it doesn’t serve a purpose in my life anymore, but it’s become so pervasive in my life it’s hard to get away from. I want to get better for the people I care about, maybe not for myself yet though. I’ve tried speech therapy, journaling, meditation/ reflecting, and waiting the urge out but they seem to fall short for me. Are there any other tips for going all-in with recovery? Should I add practices into my life every day?
Thanks for reading, and I hope you’re doing well. <3

Hi ray...i am sorry to hear that you are going through a difficult situation. I understand it's hard for you right now. I am glad that you tried therapy and other ways to recover...it's a really big thing that you have tried at least. We do have some resources for self-harm : https://www.7cups.com/home/selfharm/#resources . There are listeners who you can talk with about self-harm : listeners ( these are listeners who are taking chats in self-harm..i have filtered them for you).
I hope you find the support you are looking for.❤️
Best wishes
