Notifications disappearing

I'd like to talk about the notification button 7 Cups has, especially concerning the forums. I think it's great that there's a system in place that lets you know if someone has responded to or upvoted one of your posts, but it would be really great if clicking on one of them didn't remove all of the notifications. It can make finding the thread you posted in to see the responses difficult, especially if you're like me and forget the title of the thread and its location within the forums.

I've been trying to on-and-off find a thread to see what's happened for the last hour and a half, and so far haven't been able to. I don't know if I'm the only one that's frustrated by that, but a potential fix would be to allow notifications to queue up and not disappear by clicking on any one of them if there are multiple if that's possible at all. (i.e. think of the notifications by facebook), or to have a separate category on the dashboard that specifically deals with threads you've posted in, or your posts. I don't know, maybe I'm just forum-dumb or haven't quite worked out how things work. If that's the case, please let me know that I'm being an idiot. =)
