Chill with the social media and all the phone time. We don't need any science experiment to prove to us how much these outlets drain our energy. Reorient your attention onto that which increases good energy in your life and boosts your sense of well-being. Not being addicted to your phone means a happier body, mind, and soul.

So get off your phone & technology for a little while! Share you experience here!!

How did it go?

Gave this a go and can't believe how productive I was!! Had a good half an hour run outside and started on a new book that I think I'm going to be hooked in over the next few days! :)

I decided to take one day instead, and I thought I would hate it but I actually enjoyed it. I went out and did some shopping with my mum and we ate lunch out and it was so much fun. I was exhausted afterwards but it was all in all a great day.

I set a timed lock on my phone for 3 hours. I can't believe how many times I instinctively wanted to unlock my phone and realized time wasn't up yet. What an alarming experience... I will try to gradually get rid of this cell phone addiction

My cellphone charging port is broken, so it will not charge and is dead. I have without technology (cell phone) for a few hours today, once I left for classes and before I got home. I felt that I need something to fidget with, because I am used to being occupied with my phone. I felt a bit anxious for figuring out how to set up alarms (church alarm) and how to get in contact with my family and friends. While I dislike not having my phone, it makes me become a bit more aware. I can sit down and truly have a conversation with someone! Overall, it's probably been equally good and bad (50/50).

I did this for about 3-4 days. My mom was testing if I had 'nomophobia' or not. Ahahaha.

Well I didn't have it ;)

I used some of my time doing things that internet kept me away from. I sketched and read some books :D

I actually started detaching myself from technology and social media about a few months ago. I went through a breakup which destroyed me and I felt that looking at social media is just making my condition worse (especially my depression came back), so I deleted the social media platforms I regularly use. Now, my phone is broken and I can't access anything through my phone, which is sooo liberating. People will have to contact me through e-mail that I can access from my laptop. I feel so focused during class, and I can get assignments done. The only drawback is I can't make phone calls 😅

Took a few days to detach and it was refreshing. Surprized by how I realized I had been neglecting daily tasks/reading. 💡
