I'm often asked what People Helped and Chats mean.
1 Chat = 30 messages exchanged back and forth between the listener and a member.
People Helped is the unique individual with whom you have reached that 30-message milestone at least once. So the "People Helped" metric on a listener's profile represents the number of single individuals the listener has had a chat with!

I think it'd be even nicer to have this kind of info present on everyones account. I always felt like "people helped" is a bit of an abstract idea, and wondered what that meant. So it would be ideal if the site could add one of those little superscript questionmarks, that if you hover over them, provide in depth information. And then of course have this explanation be there for the "people helped" statistic!
All other metrics make sense to me, but this one I always wondered about. So I did learn something. But I also think it'd be nice if this knowledge was included with it, not just in a forum post.
