Eid Al Adah Mubarak 2023
As-Salaam-Alaikum, I hope you all are in good health. Eid Al Adha is upon us. It is the second Eid celebrated by Muslims, some call it ‘Big Eid’ as it follows Eid Al Fir, also known as ‘Small Eid’. It is one of the main celebrations of Muslims and a big part of the faith.
Depending upon when the moon was sighted for the start of the new Islamic Month, eid is either on Wednesday (27 June) or Thursday (28 June) for different countries. Those interested in reading more can do so here.
Usually, Muslims celebrate Eids with good hearty food, inviting family and friends over and/or visiting them. However, every family may celebrate it differently based on their own capacity and traditions.
If you see Muslims in the community, you are welcome to wish them ‘Eid Mubarak’
