Suggestion: Report button
I just finished reading a post which made me think "No, no, no.. you did not just say that." and figured I'd report it for being offensive, at which point I went "Oh right, there's no report button".
Informal reasoning aside, we could seriously use a report button to get rid of the few offensive posts that slip through the moderator's watchful eyes.
@BrendenS If you are referring to posts on Forum, yes I agree that this is something that we need and I have discussed this idea with other Forum Mentors (moderators). I would recommend suggesting this idea through filing a support ticket here for website feedback since our ideas are not as visible in forum and can get lost easily. It might not be a priority at the moment or there might be some issues that make this something that we are unable to implement, but I agree that it would make a forum moderator's job here much easier and things that do not belong here would get cleaned up much faster and easier. So, thank you for this suggestion!
Also, if you ever notice anything that needs to be removed or edited (or a thread that is in wrong category), you can message any of Forum Mentors, found here, to ask for post to be removed/moved/edited. This is not really quick, but it works. Also, you can tag any of us by writing @maku in your post for example and we will see notification and take appropriate measure.
I think there defiantly does need to be a report button on here because sometimes people will say things that are very hurtful or offensive, inapropiate or not needed for to others. It just overall makes this a safe online environment.
