Support Requests
It's no question that 7cups went completely downhill over the past few years. Kinda sad considering the site filled in a niche, but it also didn't update with the times.
For those who are left and semi-serious, can you at least make things more convenient for us? One thing I find extremely annoying is listeners who automatically grab a support request without knowing what it's for. Before I fill in the Noni form, boom, within seconds, "A listener is ready to talk to you".
I get it. You need the reputation/points to increase your listener rank, after clicking three buttons for training. Then I have to go through the trouble of ending connections with people who don't care. I'd give bad reviews, but I feel too nice...
Don't let listeners accept a support request until a complete Noni form is sent. Or better yet, just until the issue is described. Remove the questions of ranking how bad you're feeling from 1-10 and how many days.
@goldenFan3349 I'm surprised you get such quick responses. I often see members waiting many minutes even though dozens of listeners are available.
For example, as I type this someone has been waiting 11 minutes for a listener, but there are 68 listeners online (with green blobs) who could be chatting.
Listeners are intended to provide emotional support, so that members feel heard, valued and understood. This does not require knowledge of any particular issue.
Also, I find that many members who do choose an issue choose the wrong issue. For example, a member might choose depression but the chat turns out to be about the relationship problem that's causing the depression (or the other way around).
I would suggest that it's important to give a bad review to any listener who doesn't seem to care. If no one gives them bad reviews, 7 Cups will never be able to retrain them or get rid of them.
Even so, I agree with you about the more general point that 7 Cups has been inflexible and often hasn't responded to what members need. Researching what members really need from general requests, and then actually implementing changes, would be a good thing.

@RarelyCharlie
I have no idea but I need a debriefing on what happened. Please contact me with the incident that occurred with me and [place name here ]. I cant type their name out of concern.
@95969 I don't understand. Was there an incident?
You are welcome to message me if there is something you'd like to chat about in private, but I am not able to discuss any particular member or listener at 7 Cups.
