App Update: New Chat Application Now Live! August 1st, 2015
Hello!
We were previously testing a new feature on the app in beta (reminder can be found here)! Thank you to everyone who gave it a try and provided feedback.
This feature is no longer in beta, it is LIVE on the app, as of this morning! Hooray!
As a reminder, this feature gives you the ability to navigate between varying conversations and chatrooms much faster. You will be able to engage in more than one conversation very easily!
If you have a problem with this feature: There is a toggle in the settings page that allows people to revert to the old system in case they have any problems.
If you'd like to report a bug, you can post it here in the forum. We will be monitoring!
Unrelated, but I have no idea where else to report chat bugs: I've been blocked by literally dozens of listeners, with absolutely no warning whatsoever. Including, at least twice, after only saying 'hi'.
This has to be a bug of some sort. There's no way that many listeners would do that, surely?
What are the chances there will be an app for windows phone?
I really wish there was.

@Ace13 that's what I do now. I have 7 Cups saved as a favorite on my phone and pinned to my start menu. I get by, but it would be nice to get notifications on my phone about messages instead of having to check online constantly
I'm confused. What's the feature? What is the update? My app seems the same as it's been..
You can go in the settings and make sure that the "Revert to old version" option is unchecked. then when you enter a second chat in the app you can press the "+" at the top to open a multitask bar (:
Regarding the new update, sometimes it says a member is typing, when in actual fact they aren't or have stopped which tends to result in replies being delayed because of this!
I noticed that too! I think if one of thr 5 person in the bar is type , it shows that everyone is typing when they are not
Yep - I actually started asking a membet to type an X after she was through with a thought to let me know it was time for me to respond otherwise I just sat there waiting for her to send becasue the screen always said "....is typing"

Is it on Android, and Apple products or just Apple?

First I am a Newbie... I can't type that fast from my phone so I am listening from my PC with a full size keyboard. When using the PC, sometimes when I respond to someone's message, my message appears to me much higher in the conversation, making it hard to stay on track with the latest correspondence.
it freezes up my phone if a member sends a message, when i revert it the next time i log into the app i have to revert it again. then after i revert it i log into a group support room and the plus sign pops up and th emessage field that i type in is in the middle of the page and i scroll the typing field stays in middle page
Another issue I am having is that I cannot see the gear to access the settings. It doesn't show up anymore. I would appreciate if you guys would make your app so that it is more localized instead of being server based. Having it work server side is making it very slow and if you did something like what Facebook did with their mobile app I think it would be much faster and less problematic.
@Laura - I am LOVING this update so much! It is so fast and being to able to easily slide between chats is fantastic. My only issue is that if a member or listener you're in a one on one chat with comments/replies, the "x is typing" message remains, regardless of whether they are typing or not. This is every time for me, in every conversation. That can be frustrating as you want to wait to receive a message so you're not talking over someone but they're not actually typing. Other than that though, it's amazing.
