July 2: Private Room Feature!

I am writing to follow up on the release of a new feature in the next week. As a reminder, this feature was previouslyannounced here!

I wanted to follow up and give you more information about this feature and how it changes the user experience for members and the listening experience for all of you.

What it means for members/guests ?

When a member presses ?connect now,? instead of taking them to a waiting page, it will bring them directly to our regular chat interface screen.

-------> ?Finding you a listener?? in place of listener?s username

------->Noni will welcome this member to the chat with comments like:

------->"Hello and welcome to 7 Cups. We are very glad you joined us. I?mNoni- a friendly bot. My name means grandmother and healing plant."

------->"In the meantime, I?d like to share more about 7 Cups with you, and ask you some questions so your listener can jump right in and engage in a compassionate conversation with you when they arrive. I?m a pretty simple bot and cannot answer questions just yet."

From here Noni will ask the member/ guest some questionsso that when the listener arrives, they have some baseline information about the members situation and what they?d like to talk about!

They will be gentle prompts and questions. It will be clear that they member is talking to a friendly bot & not a human.

Additionally, once the member has spoken and explained their story, we will provide some more helpful tips and ideas for them to think about. The member experience is designed to keep them engaged while they wait and encourage them to think and grow!

As members and guests, we are working hard to improve your experience while you get connected. Noni will be a new friendly face to welcome you to the community, your private room and encourage you to start chatting!
