November 21: One New Sub-Community: Social Media Soldiers
We are excited to announce that a new Sub-Community is now live!
This is a community for combatting mental health stigma by going out and finding those who need us the most and bringing them to our safe haven. Using various forms of social media, social soldiers use compassionate messages to guide those in need to 7 Cups.
We are thrilled to have this project move into a dedicated community space! Big thank you to @Arwas for leading the charge and supporting this project!
In honor of this projects launch, we invite you to join this special Cupsgiving Social Soldiers Challenge !! The holidays can be a lonley time for many people. Let's let them know about 7 Cups!
@Laura
Who would I give feedback about the facebook sharing messages not containing enough information about what 7Cups of Tea is so that people will get the urge to click on the link instead of skip it over? When I click the "share on facebook" and "tweet" links to remind people of it's existence I'm reminded that I have to also type to tell people what it is when other sites have share links that are very descriptive. It's a lot less efficient at gathering potential donors without saying how it helps people. The link for potential donors may be different than one for potential users of the services/resources here but both links need to be descriptive enough for social media's short attention span to catch everything about it at a glance and not make people spend extra time each time to give basic "what is 7cups?" info. People aren't going to click before they know that much about it either.
@CoinFountain I thought the title is pretty clear about what it is about actually :) But maybe that is what keeps some for clicking... I guess only those who really need or been looking for such would click.
@HopefulSong17
Assumption is why usibility tests often fail. Gather all the feedback you can and actually implement it to see what happens. Maybe more people will click knowing where their dollars will go immediately. I know if I had a big wallet I wouldn't waste time clicking on links that weren't blatently obvious. Rich people are VERY busy people.
@CoinFountain Ah! Since the title includes 'free counseling' RICH people won't have to waste their time here cause they have the money to spends elsewhere. But from what I gather, this is not geared towards the rich, so... what was you point again? Oh, and do you think you could come up with a clever post along the link? :)
This looks interesting! I want to join!
