Yessssss! More Badges! We are excited to announce 2 new badges series - one for listeners and one for members. These badges series are meant to highlight ongoing supporting and proactively reaching out to members during their time of need!

This badges series is meant to support and encourage proactive chatting with members. A great way to find members who need support and connection is in the classifieds sections here.
Proudly Proactive 1: PMs to 5 unique members (bronze)
Proudly Proactive 2: PMs to 15 unique members (silver)
Proudly Proactive 3: PMs to 30 unique members (gold)

Reconnection Hero 1: For completing 5 chats each with 10 different members (Bronze)

This badge series is for our engaged members who have chatted with and received support from many listeners. They have worked to build up their listener network and we want to honor them and praise them for chatting with a diverse range of listeners!

Strong Bond Badge #2: For completing 25 chats each with 10 different listeners (Silver)
Strong Bond Badge #3: For completing 50 chats with 20 different members (Gold)
Tbh these badges are taking away the main point of this website because it feels like people only want to help people now just so they can get the badges and that's honestly not good at all.
It's starting to make this site look bad tbh.

@glowingKitty49 encouraging them to do what exactly? Help people just so that they can get the badges as thwt is the only thing i have seen people on here talk about lately which isn't the point of this website as I stated before.

I see both your points. And I agree with glowingKitty. I just see it as a way to give back to Listeners, to keep records of their accomplishments, and of how they are making the world a better place.
@FruityloveBubbles11 I'm really not trying to debate with either of you tbh as I stated what I stated and don't really feel like being spammed about how I feel...I ended the conversation days ago and moved on from it.

I am a bit concerned about the badges becoming a case of unintentionally causing adverse effects. On the other hand it may be a good thing we may try, but I don't know if it will create a situation of volunteers that have been more decorated than others having a higher level of demand. The effect may be that those seeking assistance will not necessarily want newer volunteers that are trying to become more active in the community.
I hope it will have good effects, but I think we should be cautious and make sure it doesn't create a problem with supply and demand.
