Just follow your heart and your passion nevermind the ignorance of other people. Being a psychologist is not determined by gender.
Definitely strange ideas from the people that tell you men do not become Psychologists! Do not mind what other people tell you, there will always be people telling you negative things, but it does not necessarily mean they are true either. Once you've learned some history of Psychology, you'll see that there are many Psychologists who are men, and even in this day in time, there are male Psychologists too. The ratio may be lesser compared to women, but they do exist.
These people telling you men don't become Psychologists, might be because they see men as a strong figure, someone who doesn't show vulnerability and does not express emotions. So, in their eyes, males do not become Psychologists. So, ignore what others tell you, and do what you feel passionate for. Your passion shall override others' words. Do what matters to you, not what others say about it~
