I’m about to start 11th grade and I feel like I’ve barely even started high school. Freshman year was incredibly uneventful, and it also ended early due to covid. My whole sophomore year I was virtual and this summer I lost 2 out of my 3 friends because of a fight. I probably won’t have my other friend in any classes so I’ll be completely alone, and I really don’t want to see my old friends since things didn’t end well. Schools starting next week and im incredibly anxious, still emotionally damaged after losing those two friends, and just really dreading it all together. Not sure what to do, I just want things to go smoothly but im constantly anxious, i don’t even want to eat or draw or anything I really like those things. I really just want to make new friends who won’t attack me when I’m trying to communicate but I’m incredibly socially awkward and I don’t really know how to talk to people. I know I’m overthinking but this is way more stressful than I’d like it to be.

I think I know how you feel. I had a few friends betraying me during my high school years, and I pretty much was a loner by 12th grade. I had a couple of friends to hang out with during lunch/free blocks, but not close enough to call a good friend. After we graduated, we all went our separate ways, and that was it. I had always been the quiet type in school, so I didn't make any new friends. Just be yourself, then things will fall into place~
