@lonelysoul2024, hi there , failures can bring in so many strong emotions, understandably so. How are you taking care of your self?

Hey, I hope you're doing okay. Failing an exam can lead to strong negative feelings and a lack of support system to rely on can make it worse. I know people say this all the time, but failure is a part of life, it's how we learn to succeed. It's okay to fail sometimes, how we bounce back from the failure is what matters.

If you need someone to listen to you, feel free to reach out to me. Stay strong, you have all of us here supporting you <3

Failure is indeed difficult to accept/digest and with lack of support system even worse. Glad that you felt like sharing and reaching out here. This itself shows that a little bit of you is still wanting to make you feel better and is trying to pull you out of this state. Good job at taking that first step and talking out loud here. I can assure you that this site is full of amazing people. Please do feel free to reach out to anyone you feel like. We’re all here for you if you’d like to talk/share more. Rest assured, we’ll sail through this! ❤️

When I was around your age, I failed multiple exams, some really important ones, which I ended up failing the course (twice). In the end, I honestly think that the teacher finally passed me with like 52% just because of my effort in really trying to study for the final exam. Back then, I had no friends either, or at least, whom I thought were friends didn't really care about me. After failing each exam though, I was totally devastated, I wondered why that even when I did all the homework, and actually did try to study, that my grade just didn't reflect the effort? I later realized that the particular course just wasn't my forte, and I did not take any other course around that topic there on after, unless for one time, where it was a prerequisite course (this was more than 10 years later, and to my surprise and my family's surprise, I ended up with a B-).

I can understand that at the very moment of failing an exam, our emotions become all negative, as if it's the end of the world. But do know that as much as it seems that it is important to have passed the exam, failing is only another way to learn something.

I hope you can find some support here at 7 Cups, with listeners, or feel less lonely about your feelings with the support from fellow members. You can always talk to us, share with us your feelings, we'll always be by your side.

@lonelysoul2024 I know how it feels not doing well on an exam, very discouraging without a support system. I hope you've been well since then, what are some areas of your test that needed improvement?

Hi there. It sounds like you're feeling alone and isolated, after failing an exam. I want you to know two very important things: you deserve to be supported, and your academic performance does not define you. I know it is easier for me to say these things than to make these devastating thoughts go away, but you deserve to feel comfortable and happy.

What do you normally do when you're feeling lonely?
