Becoming completely self-sufficient, especially when it comes to motivation and studying, is tough. No one is naturally wired to be 100% disciplined all the time—it’s something you have to train like a muscle. One thing that helped me was setting strict deadlines, not just vague goals. For example, when I was preparing for the GMAT, I mapped out test dates in advance and locked one in. Knowing there was a real, non-negotiable deadline forced me to stay consistent, even on days when I didn’t feel like it. I found this gmat test dates page super useful for that. Honestly, external motivation fades fast, so the trick is to create a system where you don’t rely on it. Structure, deadlines, and a little bit of pressure—that’s what really keeps you going.

@gemini5

I hear you! 45 days till the GMAT, and the pressure is real. Hope the following tips can help:

  1. Lock in a daily schedule – No overthinking, no “should I study now?” Just set a routine and show up every day.

  2. Break it down – Split your time:

    • First 15 days: Master concepts, drill weaknesses.

    • Next 15 days: Timed practice + review mistakes like crazy.

    • Last 15 days: Full-length tests, stamina training, confidence-building.

  3. Panic = wasted energy – Feeling overwhelmed? Pause. Deep breath. Zoom out. You’ve got 45 whole days. Take it one day at a time, one question at a time. You only fail if you stop.

  4. No more “motivation” talk – You don’t need hype; you need habits. Sit down, start the timer, and grind. Even on bad days. Especially on bad days.

  5. You’re not studying because you "have to." You’re studying because you want to crush this.

So yeah, the final reminder is to just do it. Starting to do work is the best way for solving anxiety after all!! All the best for your exams ❤️
