Documenting exam season
Hi!
So I've decided to document my journey through finals. Hopefully the last set of exams I'll be giving in a while (if I manage to pass, and I really hope I do)
So the paper was... horrible? Okay I can't say that, but i can't say it was good either. The long essays were fine, and a majority of the 5 and 3 markers were fine. I only got 5/10 right in mcqs...like ive never seen those stuff anywhere. And the remaining 5 and 3 markers...I dont know where they even got the questions from. Everyone found it hard, there's that.
@Winters12
But considering the amount of time i put into the major systems and revising it thrice... I felt like I just wasted my time.
Couldn't do much at all yesterday evening. Forced myself to do infectious diseases, but not sure how much entered my head. Woke up this morning with crazy body ache. Ive got so much to do today before the exam tomorrow. Don't know how im gonna manage it. Every part of my body hurts, and my eyes too.
I've done as much as I can today. Obviously there's more left to do, but I've reached a point where nothing is entering my head and my eyes are so so tired. I'm terrified of facing tomorrow.
I skimmed cns, rs, nephro, hemat. Forced myself to do psychiatry and infectious diseases too. Glanced through hiv, stds, and dermat. I still feel blank, like I know nothing.
Genuinely thought I'd do horrible today because of how underprepared I felt, but it went okay. Got all the mcqs right, 10 markers were okay but I had prepared leptospirosis as a 5 mark essay, not a 10 mark one, so while i covered the important points, I didn't know the details. 3 markers were fine, two questions were repeated from paper 1. 5 mark questions were...okay, I guess. Answered most of them, while some were unexpected, I knew enough to write about them.
I always feel so dizzy after an exam. Happened last time too. Im afraid to stand up.
Today's exam was horrible. Ten markers were fine, 3 markers were okie too. Only wrote a few 5 markers well...I blanked out on the things I knew too. And just got 4/10 right on the mcqs. Feel like trash
I feel like I've completely lost the focus and clarity i have. Topics that i can finish quickly and taking too long. Things I've studied before and revised, i don't remember. And no, it's not a today problem. It's everyday. Wasn't like this when exams started. I could finish stuff quickly and remember and revise them. But I feel so slow now. Kinda disconnected.
The hate i feel for myself when something doesn't go according to plan 👀
Like I was supposed to complete a lot more yesterday, never mind that I had a breakdown. (I hate myself)
Woke up later than I expected today. Feels like I'm actively ruining my chances to pass (I hate myself)
Doesn't matter that someone else was able to complete one third of what I did, they'll manage. They'll pass. But I don't trust myself to.
Anxiety hitting again. Mind feels blank, im not sure if I'll even be able to remember anything to write in the exam tomorrow
