Dropping out of College
So I enrolled in a degree in a college but the thing is that college is not very reputed and I don't think I will be getting much opportunities there. It was not possible for me to try in other colleges due to personal circumstance and convenience. However, next year I would be able to get admission in other colleges where I'll get better opportunities. Soooo....I'm considering whether I should drop out. If I drop out, I get better opportunity, but I feel like I'll also be wasting an entire year. I'm just having doubts

having doubts. Many people have leap years where they miss a year and focus on other
things like traveling or something you like. I don’t feel there is anything
wrong with that. Given that you know you will be able to get admissions in
other colleges next year, it doesn’t sound like a bad idea. But, the choice is
yours and whatever you feel is best, I support it!💜

Hi Stoblt, thanks for your sharing. For me, it is not an easy choice, cause it seems that either of them carries some sort of cost and risk. No wonder you will feel hesitant.
One way you may consider is to look at it, is with an honest review of the benefit and cost , either staying or leaving. It may bring you better clarity on what's most important for you, when pros and cons are laid out.

It’s okay to drop out if the circumstances for you being there are not okay. I withdrew in October, it turns out that I have ways better opportunities at other colleges. One benefit being debt. The college I was at was so expensive, and didn’t even provide me with certifications like other colleges that are way cheaper. A year not digging a hole is better than a year digging the wrong hole. Whatever you do, don’t let it feel forced. Happiness is an abstract concept that means something different to every single person. Find what makes you happy and do it.

Im 35 turning 36 soon and I’ll be returning to a community college.
i chose community college because of cost And got me my certificates and AS degrees. And It is my 3rd college I have attended. I switch around because they don’t always have the course available. College is college, and you’ll get the credits whether you complete them in one or the other. The only opportunity you’ll get is freedom of choice whether to get it done here or there and at your own time and pace.
