Hesitant to try something. Afraid of overwhelming or overbooking myself.
An opportunity to audition and be in a rock band for a mounth at my school presented itself. Its somthing i would love doing. The only thing is the busy part of drama club is going to happen around the same time. Im in crew so it wont be as big as a commitment but the dates overlap so it might be tough to juggle. Then on top of that my college aps are going to be due around that time as well. And then i have all of my coursework to juggle. AND ill be working with a vocal coach for auditions for college aps and i will be having piano lessons. So it being a lot might be an understatement.
The band seems a bit rigorous with a lot of at home practice but- it seems like a really amazing opportunity and one im afraid i might not get again cause im graduating this year. Being in a band is somthing amazing id love to do but seemed so out of reach up to this point. Im just always so busy and dont know who id wanna have a band with.
I dont wanna give up a good opportunity but i dont want to mess up my college application or somthing else important cause i give myself way too much to do and overwhelm myself. Any advice would be really really appreciated, thank you so much for listening.

Hello 🥰
Nice to meet you and welcome to seven cups.
Yes, this is a great opportunity but your college application is also important, you don't want to juggle too much or over reach.
Other opportunities will be sure to come your way.
Whatever your decision though, I wish you the very best 💜🥰

Hello 🥰
Welcome to seven cups!
I see that this is a great opportunity but your college application, you only get this one chance yo complete that.
Other opportunities will come you way.
When you don't have to juggle or over reach.
Whatever your decision though, I wish you all the best 💜🥰
@Mia183 Hi 🌷.. all these opportunities are wonderful but they seem a bit too much.. your concern is valid especially with all these chances. You can organize your priorities from the most important to the less important.. and don’t exhaust yourself by trying to do all of them.. maybe there will be even better opportunities in the future.
I wish you all the success and good luck ☺️🤍.

Hey <3 That sounds like a both exciting and also overwhelming opportunity. I can hear how much being in a band means to you and it makes complete sense that eyed what to grab the opportunity while you can, however, it's okay to also reel torn with everything else on your plate tight now. It sounds like you've got quite a lot of commitments already, so it's really good to think ahead about balance. I've also been in a similar situation before and one thing I've found helpful was looking at what my non negociables are, then realistically looking at how much time you have for what you want to do (the band) without burning out. How does that sound for you?
It's okay to reminds yourself that saying 'yes' to one thing can also mean saying 'no' or 'not right now' to other things -- and that's not a failure; I like to look at it as park of prioritising. I really admire how thoughtful you are about this! Whatever choice you make, I hope it feels right for you.
Please remember, our amazing community of listeners here on 7 Cups are always here to listen to you whenever you need.
Take care of yourself!
