Hello, Lovely Student Support Community! Welcome to our weekly check-in.
Hey beautiful student support community! How are we all doing? Sorry for the bit of delay with the check in! It is such a busy time of year, especially in school. I finished my exams last week. It has been a crazy couple weeks of studying and preparing which can all be super stressful and overwhelming. I have been through the ups and downs this week and I’m guessing a lot of you can relate to. If you don't get the results you want, and you feel all the disappointment and sadness, please take a moment to be gentle with yourself and remind yourself you did your best and you are not defined by these exams. You are not alone and we are here to support you.
I would also like to offer a warm welcome to @Takioteka on to the team. A huge shout out to them as they have been working very hard in our teen room hosting study sessions. We are so lucky to have such a dedicated and awesome leader on the team.
For you all, What's been going on in your life? I would love to hear updates. I hope you all are managing through and have a good week ahead. We are always here for you <3

❀ How are you holding up lately? Physically? Mentally? ❀
I am doing pretty good! So much better then last week physically, 13 songs on a bass clarinet was not my brightest ideas! Mentally I am getting a little bit nervous as my final & midterms come up, but more or less worried about rush week (rush week is when we have a week before or exams so after we come from break, and we rush to cover a large amount of content we did not cover as well as review for our exams.)
❀ Are you celebrating any winter holidays? How are you feeling about it? Challenges? Highlights? Regan is celebrating a winter holiday! I enjoy Hanukkah very much, but I do also celebrate Christmas with my family! I think it comes with the normal challenges of the year, but it also marks the start of prep for mid terms/finals and that comes with high exception and stress during that time off, unfortunately

Thats great to hear that you are doing well! I can totally relate to the stress about finals and midterms. but we do some good preparations before hand, with good study skills and you do your best! I wish you the best of luck in your preparations! You got this!
It is definitely a busy and difficult time of year! I hope that you get to enjoy the winter holidays and get a moment to relax before the exam push you will be doing. It's okie to take those moments for self care before getting down to business with the school work.

@FaithfulZareia Things are hectic for me. I think I have to completely redo my first assignment for my class (I haven't had time to look at the grade yet) and it's a class where all other assignments hinge on the first one. I still need to do the next step for the honors society and I was going to look at my assignments at work (difficult to do anything at home with the puppy) but I have a task that has to be done this week which will probably take me all day and that's on top of all my other tasks.
I suppose I could have done some things yesterday but I cleaned and put together a couch (once my brother removed the broken one) and took the puppy out at least four times. I have to do that otherwise she jumps up and tries to step on my laptop. She does not wait well when she wants attention.

It sounds like a busy and crazy time of year for you. I hope that redoing that assignment gets you the grade you want and deserve. That does sounds stressful that all the subsequesnte assignments rely on that one. You got this. I do hope it works out for you. That really exciting about honors society! That is a huge achievement. However it does sound like a lot fo work and stress trying to manage all of your assignements. Lets just take it one at at time okie?
Awww puppies are so sweet and fun! but they do love attention and are full of energy.
I hope you have a great week ahead and find some times to relax and recharge
@FaithfulZareia thanks. I just need to fix the formatting on it. I guess I'll have to do it tomorrow at the office. I will also have to get a little more caught up than what I'm currently at. Technically I have the day off but nothing special is going on and if utilizing that time will get me to a position where I can submit my assignments and not get yelled at at work (or feel like I'm in trouble at work)...
But I appear to be able to do some of the required reading. So long as the puppy stays asleep next to me.

Ngl, I am just trying to finish my work and pass AP Calculus, that's the only class that I have left. Sometimes, I feel like I am overburdened with some of the work that I have to do but that's the slot for the oldest child. Once everyone is done with what they have to do for this semester, I think like will be less stressful.

Yes, I'll be celebrating Hanukkah. We have to decorate the church and our house. We are doing big decorations for this year and it's a little complicated. Around these holidays, it gets really hectic ESPECIALLY with the decorations.

I would probably eat dinner with Poppy and Branch. I really need that happiness and hey why not sing and dance while eating dinner.

I wish you the best of luck finishing up all your work with AP classes. I know that it can be so much work and overwhelming. It can definitely feel like a ton of work and hard to keep up especially with the additional responsibility's of being the oldest. It is definitely a huge relief when all the work is done and you can just take a break and recharge <3
I hope that you have a nice and peaceful Hanukkah! It can definitely be crazy time of year with all the decorations and family stuff! It can be a lot of pressure and stress. I hope you are able to take a moment to just enjoy the holidays tho <3
