Working Through the Holiday
For those of you who are working in your dream career or working towards your dream career with jobs in between, depending on your field of work, the month of December may be busier than usual. Don't forget to use your days off to recharge. For those of you who are able to take some vacation days off this month, enjoy your time away from work with family and friends.
Yet, there are some members in our subcommunity who are both studying and working at the same time. Make sure you take breaks in between both and don't overwork in either. Do not depend on last minute studying or cramming for exams, write up a schedule for your studying aside from your working hours. Eat a healthy diet and get your needed sleep, so you are ready to tackle each day as you wake up every morning.
December will be a busy month for myself. Starting the coming Monday, I'll be working all December with only 2 days off. My work schedule is to relieve vacation of colleagues. December is a month where everybody wants days off, either to get out of town for vacation, or spend time with family locally. Sometimes, I wish my colleagues are more considerate of me too. Rather than taking all the time off in December for themselves, leave some days for me too. The only 2 days I have off, are Stat holidays, so not exactly extra days of time off. Oh well, hope it won't be too busy at work!~

It is definitely not considerate of your colleagues that you do not have when to take extra days off. I usually try to ask for time off in advance to reserve it because I am not very assertive and if I waited I would also end up in the same situation as you. Hopefully, you will not have too much work because you also deserve rest!
Now, not only do I not have time off, I've been requested to work overtime over the weekends too! So, I might even end up working through the Christmas weekend now. I don't get paid vacation though, so I don't need to really ask for time off. But it would be nice of my colleagues don't take turns going on vacation for the entire month of December!~
@Jaeteuk While I don't work the holidays, my mom does and it makes me sad. She works on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but she is a nurse and she helps her patients and I applaud her dedication. We still make Christmas work and spend time together ❤️ I'm thinking of all of you who have to work or who have family working too. It's not easy, but over time makes it worth it. Get that bagggg! 😂
I work in a local hospital too. Although not a nurse, but an Aide for the Operating Room. It closes on the weekends, but I had been asked to work the weekends to do some cleaning of the department. I'm still living with my parents and older brother (who had divorced and moved back home). Working through the weekend, I hardly see my parents, even when we all live under the same roof. I'm hoping I could finish the remaining cleaning this weekend, and not need to work the Christmas Eve weekend. But, if I can't get it all done this weekend, I might have to go in to finish it up on Christmas Eve.
It's not like I have plans or anything, I think it's my parents that have all the parties to attend with their church friends. But, I have a feeling I may be overly exhausted from working 7 days a week for 3 weeks!

@Jaeteuk Oh wow 7 days for 3 weeks straight? I hope you had weekends off at least!! I hope you are able to have off for Christmas and Christmas Eve because you deserve a break! Thank you for all your dedication and help to the hospital and those who are sick. You do such important work! 💗
