Hi everybody. Ive been using benzodiazepines among other things for about 6 months and I just wondered if anyone here has any tips to quit? I want to get off them but Ive read some withdrawals symptoms and reports from people who had quit and it almost seems worthless if Im going to go through hell. Does smoking weed help during the withdrawal or alcohol or anything? I want all your tips

I take them for my anxiety and a little bit for my depression. Theyre prescribed is what Im trying to say.

Hello! First of all thanks for sharing this post, after reading the post, one question that hit me was if you have discussed about it with your doctors? They might have ideas on how to go about it.

Hi and thank you for your post, I also take benzo's as perscribed as a when needed medication. They work well for me but I am very aware of the addiction risk. Have a look at benzo.org.uk and focus on the Ashton report as its full of alot of information including how to get off them. As a prevoius post your doctor will help (should) but the Ashton Document has not been read by all doctors so take a copy with you if it helps. Happy to share my experiences if it helps.
